Who have we helped with importing windows from Poland?
A company operating in Norway, implementing comprehensive projects in the construction industry – these are both new investments and renovation of existing buildings. They need the highest quality joinery that meets both high design requirements and complies with the Norwegian construction law. We had the opportunity to implement the first project together in 2016.
The challenge
The main requirement was high parameters of the windows that meet the assumptions of the client’s project. For example, a high level of soundproofing had to be confirmed by appropriate certificates based on tests. The client also wanted the windows to have an international guarantee. The project assumed the use of special glazing with reduced light transmission so that the incoming sun would not heat the rooms too much. An important element of the project was the use of toughened glass in order to increase the safety of the structure.

Market research
To meet all the design assumptions, our senior sales manager Zofia Stanowska found a system that has high technical parameters and is confirmed by appropriate tests and certificates. After comparing all available offers, Zofia chose the manufacturer that would be the most cost-effective.
Finally, the chosen system was Decco 83. This profile has an additional, central gasket, which translates into better thermal parameters of the entire window. The choice of this profile was dictated by the achievement of the parameters compliant with the Norwegian construction law. To obtain Uw <0.8 and Rw <29 dB, we used a triple-glazed unit with the use of special glazing, which we write more about down below.
Presentation of the optimal variant
In the last phase of the project, the Rw coefficient (soundproofing) was recalculated and the glazing was changed. It is now possible to achieve even better acoustic insulation parameters. Instead of the 4/18/4/18/4 package, the 6/18/4/18/4 package was finally used. In accordance with the requirements of the project, safety glass with reduced transparency was used here.
Obtaining an international guarantee was also an absolute requirement of the investor. Manufacturers provide their own warranty, which is usually only valid in Poland. Individual terms of cooperation and debesto.com distribution agreements with producers allow us to provide a warranty valid in all countries.
