Frameless sliding windows – what is it?
Frameless sliding windows – basic information
Definition
Frameless sliding windows are large-sized structures that give the impression of an all-glass structure from the outside and inside of the building. This effect is achieved through:
- hiding the door jamb in the building wall
- the use of narrow central posts
- hiding the threshold in the floor
Remember!
Frameless windows can also be called panorama windows, panorama design or narrow-frame windows.
Regardless of what they are called, our experts are ready for your contact to help you choose the best windows and doors for your investment (quick contact)

Frameless slidings
Frameless slidings are also called large sliding windows or oversized windows. This is due to the fact that they can be used for sashes and structures with a height of up to two floors and almost any width – thanks to the modular system of the threshold and lintel frames.

Application of frameless sliding windows
Frameless sliding windows are an ideal solution for terraces in residences, apartments or hotels, as well as other facilities where even the smallest architectural detail is important.
The large-scale possibilities of frameless systems allow for almost unlimited use in modern buildings or lofts.
Thanks to the minimum number of frames and posts (even less than 1% of the surface!), These windows let in the maximum possible amount of light into the building.
Frameless construction
Structural schemes for architects available
Sliding systems of frameless windows and doors have almost unlimited design possibilities, although they differ slightly depending on the system provider. We describe them in detail in our guide in a special section where we review individual systems. Read more
The width of the center post
A very important element of the window structure are the central posts – connecting the moving sashes with the fixed parts. They are even less than 30 mm wide – which with large dimensions of the sashes (max. 4000 mm x 4000 mm) is less than 1% of the width of the structure.

Maximum glazing size
The maximum glazing size currently available on the market is 4000mm x 4000m. With a modular design, the structure can have virtually unlimited width.
If a system provider introduces an innovation in this area, our experts will be the first to know about it. Do you have any questions? (quick contact)
Construction of the threshold
Low threshold – barrier-free
Most frameless window and sliding door systems have a low threshold. It is not only an aesthetic solution, but also facilitates the movement of disabled people. The low threshold is a very important design detail, and depending on the system provider, it can be more or less user-friendly. Here are three examples:
Completely hidden threshold
The completely hidden threshold, built flush with the floor on the example of Yawal MoreView:

A threshold 1.7 cm deep
A 1.7 cm deep threshold on the example of Cortizo Cor Vision Plus:

Sliding system
In frameless systems, the sliding system is made of rollers with bearings placed in the threshold of the jamb. This solution has decisive advantages compared to the traditionally used HST sliding system – from the German Hebeschiebetür – based on trolleys (the so-called lift and slide system).
The system based on rollers is more convenient for servicing (does not require disassembly of the window) and allows the creation of narrower thresholds, which has a positive effect on the design of the entire solution.

End-to-end windows import handling
5 reasons, why you should import windows and doors from Poland (from EU)
1. Manufacturers with experience
Poland is one of the largest producers of windows and doors in the entire European Union. It is no coincidence that in the joinery industry, Poland has gained the name of “little China”. Our producers generate over 20% of all global exports of window joinery.
Quick contact with the broker (here).
2. You buy good quality joinery 30-50% cheaper than in Western Europe or the USA
The Polish window and door industry is highly competitive thanks to subsidies from the European Union and a cheaper workforce. Thanks to the reduced production costs of windows, doors and roller shutters, they can be cheaper by up to 30-50%.

How to save on import from Poland to the United States?
To make your order the most cost-effective, consider three factors:
- The first is to order a full container (approximately 20 windows). This solution is cheaper than LCL (less than container load) transport (i.e. importing single pieces of windows). Please note that when ordering the entire container, port service is included after reaching a US port.
- The second factor concerns the type of windows imported. When you decide to import aluminium windows, their advantage is lighter weight compared to wooden windows. Thanks to this, more of them can fit in one container.
- The third one is the import of exclusive windows (such as frameless terrace windows). Purchase price of which in Poland is much lower than the price in the USA.
Do you know that?
If you import exclusive wood or aluminum joinery from Poland, you will pay a similar price as in the US for plastic windows?

Collection and unloading of a container with windows from Poland
How does the windows pickup shipped to the USA look like?
The windows, secured for transport, are already on board. What’s next?
After the goods leave the port, you will be contacted by an agent on the American side who will take care of all formalities and documents for you, including:
- guiding you through local duty and state tax
- determining the method of picking up the goods after their arrival at the port
You can pick up an order on your own or ask for home delivery.

What is worth remembering when collecting and unloading a container with windows?
- Decide if you want to use the services of an agent recommended by debesto.com or another (organized on your own)
- Take care of all the data that must be provided to the agent
- At the target location, check that the number of packages is correct and that none of them has any visible damage
- Take photos of the packed goods and after opening them, in case of any damage that is not visible at first glance
- It is worth finding out in advance what dimensions the delivered goods have so that the right car will arrive. The dimensions of the car should also be selected in terms of the destination, so that it can efficiently bring the windows to the target place
- In addition, appropriate unloading tools should be organized, e.g. a forklift, and in the case of large structures, such as frameless sliding windows, even a crane may help, which will definitely facilitate every operation on the construction site
Contact debesto.com – joinery broker – to learn more about the collection and unloading of the container (quick contact)

Delivery to the port in the USA – customer obligations
Now the most important thing! From the moment the windows are in the USA, you will be responsible for the next steps. What will you have to do?
- Collection of goods from the port on your own within the prescribed time (usually 48-72 hours after the container arrives at the port)
- Paying the USA duty (check what the rate is)
- Paying the VAT rate applicable in the buyer’s country
- Arranging and paying for transport from the port to the place of investment/warehouse
- Payment of port service costs:
- for LCL (less than container load – in OSB boxes) it will be about (strongly estimated: 100-200 dollars per 1m3 (cubic) of goods
- in the case of full container transport (FCL – the entire container exclusively for one customer) the costs of port service are already included in the transport price
Remember!
Remember not to miss any of the points mentioned above because it may be connected with high fees, e.g. for the additional day the goods are kept in the port, they can reach even several hundred dollars. It is definitely worth keeping an eye on the deadlines.

Windows and doors measurement
How to correctly measure aluminium sliding windows and doors?
Assembly errors resulting from incorrect measurements generate high costs for your company and – unnecessary – additional “paperwork”. They also contribute to your customers’ dissatisfaction. So how do you measure openings for frameless aluminium sliding doors so you don’t waste money?
Do you know that?
In this guide, we focus on frameless aluminum sliding doors, but remember that the rules of measurement and installation will be the same for any material such as vinyl, pvc, aluminum or wood.
If you have doubts about how to properly measure to place an order correctly, contact the debesto.com – joinery broker – (quick contact).
Take measurements in metric units, not imperial units.
Due to the fact that the windows will be ordered from the Polish manufacturer, it is safer to use metric units in centimetres.
Two situations that affect how the measurement is taken
Two situations can be distinguished that affect how the procedure for measuring the opening for joinery should be carried out:
Situation 1 – Measurement with the finished floor without the possibility of hiding the threshold
Situation 2 – Measurement without a finished floor:
- Option 1 – when the threshold will be embedded into the floor
- Option 2 – when the threshold will not be embedded in the floor
Situation 1: Measurement with the finished floor, without the possibility of embedding the threshold into the floor
The first situation is when sliding windows will be mounted on a finished floor without the possibility of embedding a threshold in it.
Opening width measurement
First, measure the width of the door opening from right to left in 3 heights and choose the smallest dimension. Subtract 2 cm on the left and 2 cm on the right. This will give you the width of the opening at the narrowest point minus 4 cm.
Quick contact with the debesto.com broker regarding measurements for the order (here).

Opening height measurement
Determining the height is a more difficult task. It all depends on the assembly conditions.
If the floor in the building is finished and the threshold cannot be embedded into it, then the height of the sliding door from the floor to the lintel line should be determined by subtracting 2-3 cm for expansion joints.
The final door height will be approximately 2.5 cm (or 1 inch) lower than the height from the floor to the lintel at the lowest point.
Remember!
Remember to order the door with the lowest possible threshold if possible.
Quick contact with the debesto.com broker regarding measurements for the order (here).

Example
You find a window opening which dimensions declared by the investor or your client are 400 cm wide and 220 cm high.
Opening width measurement
It turns out that you measure the width at the bottom and the real dimension is 398 cm, in the middle – 400 cm, and at the lintel 401 cm.
The width of the opening that you should provide to the window manufacturer is the smallest dimension minus 4 cm: 398cm – 4cm = 394cm.
Opening height measurement
When measuring the height, you discover that: for the left jamb the height is 221 cm, for the middle jamb 223 cm, and for the right jamb 224 cm.
The height of the opening that you should provide to the window manufacturer is the lowest dimension minus 2cm: 221cm – 2cm = 219cm.
The final dimensions for the order that you should provide to the window manufacturer are:
394 cm x 219 cm (width x height)

Remember!
Always remember that width is the first dimension.
Situation 2: Measuring without a finished floor
It is more difficult to determine the correct door height when the building is under construction and the future flooring is not finished yet.
Then you should determine the so-called “Level zero”. In this case, the investor should be asked to indicate and mark the planned floor level on the walls.
After determining the “zero level” of the finished floor (with tiles / carpeting / boards or other subfloor) the measurement is very simple, but we must distinguish between the two variants described below.
Option 1 – Measurement when the threshold will be embedded into the floor (without the finished floor)
Opening width measurement
To measure the width of the opening, follow the guidelines described in Situation 1 because the lack of a finished floor does not affect the measurement of the opening width.
Hole height measurement
When the floor is not ready yet and you need to measure the opening for the sliding door with the threshold embedded in the floor, it is best to do this as follows:
STEP 1:
Measure the height from the “zero” level to the lintel in at least 3 points. Then subtract 2 cm from the lowest height obtained. This is the height of your door from the threshold to the top of the frame.
STEP 2:
To complete the measurement, you need to know the following parameters:
- The height of the opening from the lintel to the zero level.
- Model of the door and the height of the threshold which will be embedded in the floor.
- Height from the lower frame to the zero level (here the rule of “lowest of 3 measurements” also applies).
Remember!
In order to correctly order the door and provide its actual dimensions, the height of the threshold should be added to this height, which, depending on the model, may be from 20 to even 90mm!
The supplier will select sliding doors with an embedded threshold of optimal dimensions and system profiles extending the jamb or floor profiles, e.g. made of XPS or styrodur.
Quick contact with the debesto.com broker regarding measurements for the order (here).

Example
Opening width measurement
You take measurements and in practice the width of the opening at the floor level is 401 cm, in the middle it is 399 cm high, and at the lintel it is 400 cm. The width that you should give to the manufacturer of windows and doors is: 399 cm – 4 cm, i.e. 395 cm.
Opening height measurement
The declared height is 240 cm. However, it turns out that in practice the finished floor will be 20 cm higher than the present bottom jamb.
After marking the opening on the walls and measuring it in three places with a laser level, the dimension from the future zero level to the lintel on the left is 221 cm, on the right 221 cm and in the center 219 cm.

The height from the threshold to the upper jamb is: 219 cm – 2 cm, i.e. 217 cm. But that’s not all. You add the threshold height as described below.
Taking the Cortizo Cor Vision Plus sliding door as an example, let’s assume that the threshold is 5.7 cm high. Therefore, the final height of the opening will be: 217 cm + 5.7 cm of the threshold, which is a total of 222.7 cm.
Thus, the width and height are: 395 cm x 222.7 cm
Then you take into account the system extensions for the window (door) that will be embedded in the floor. You take three measurements from the finished floor level to its current level. The measurements show: 20 cm on the left, 19 cm in the middle and 21 cm on the right.
In our example, the necessary extensions resulting from the threshold are: 19 cm – 5.7 cm = 13.3 cm
The final dimensions to be ordered that you should provide to the manufacturer of windows and doors are:
395 cm x 222.7 cm + extensions for the window 13.3 cm.
Remember!
Always remember that width is the first dimension.
Not sure how to measure correctly? Contact the debesto.com – joinery broker – (quick contact)

Option 2: Measurement without a finished floor, when the threshold will not be embedded in the floor
Opening width measurement
To measure the width of the opening, follow the guidelines described in Situation 1 because the lack of a finished floor does not affect the measurement of the opening width.
Hole height measurement
In the case of installing sliding doors with the base of the threshold at the floor level, the measurement will be much simpler than in Option 1.
To make the measurement, the height from the “zero level” of the finished floor to the lintel must be measured in three places. Then you need to subtract 2 cm from the lowest dimension and this is the size of the opening that you must provide to the manufacturer of windows and doors.
As in Option 1 the widenings should also be measured. To do this, measure it at 3 points, as in Option 1 (height from the level of the finished floor to the bottom jamb).
Provide the supplier with the lowest value as the dimension to which the system profiles should be selected to extend the frame or ground profiles.
Quick contact with the debesto.com joinery broker regarding measurements for the order (here).

Example
The opening declared by the investor or your client is 400cm x 240cm. The finished floor will be 20 cm higher than the current height.
Opening width measurement
The situation with the width is the same as in the previous example in Option 1. You are taking measurements and the actual dimensions are: bottom 401cm, 399cm in the middle and 400cm at the top. The width that you should give to the manufacturer of windows and doors is: 399 cm – 4 cm = 395 cm.

Opening height measurement
After taking measurements from the level of the future finished floor to the height of the extension, you get the following dimensions: height from the left: 221, from the right 221, in the center 220 cm. The height of the opening will be: 220 cm – 2 cm, i.e. 218 cm.
Thus, the final dimensions of the opening are: 395cm x 218cm.
There is still systemic extension that has to be included. So measure the height from the threshold to the finished floor height (zero level) and the real dimensions are: left 20, center 19 and right 21 cm. So to the supplier, you will give the 19 cm dimension.
The final dimensions to be ordered that you should provide to the manufacturer of windows and doors are:
395cm x 218cm + 19cm widening for the window
Remember!
Always remember that width is the first dimension.

Ecology
The most ecological aluminum sliding windows
Material
Are only wooden windows ecological?
When your client asks about ecological windows, probably the first raw material that comes to your mind is wood, which as a natural material automatically brings to mind an association with ecology.
Contact the debesto.com joinery broker to find a solution that meets the ecological requirements of your investment (quick contact).
What makes windows environmentally friendly and can aluminum, frameless windows and patio doors be considered as such?
The material is undoubtedly an important element when assessing whether a window is ecological. Considering the production process of wooden windows, it can be concluded that they are not 100% ecological, for example in terms of varnishing and impregnation of wood. In our opinion, aluminum can be safely called an environmentally friendly material, which we describe below.
Why aluminum windows are ecological
Aluminum has a low density, while being an extremely durable material. Consequently, the production of aluminum profiles uses less material than when using other raw materials, and this means less harm to the environment.
From the point of view of ecology, you should also have in mind the exceptional strength of aluminum and the fact that aluminum profiles will last much longer than competing materials. Less replacement means less production globally, and less production means less environmental pollution. However, if there is a need to replace aluminum windows, this raw material can be recycled many times.
Do you know that?
System providers are constantly optimizing production in terms of “green building”. That is why other elements, such as spacers, insulators and gaskets, are also made of renewable raw materials. An example would be EPDM rubber gaskets, the production of which uses bioethanol obtained from sugar cane.
Contact the debesto.com joinery broker to find a solution that meets the ecological requirements of your investment (quick contact).
Energetic efficiency
Ecological windows = energy-saving windows
The second key issue, even more important than the material itself, is the energy efficiency of the window. Yes! Which windows are the most ecological? Those that are energy efficient. The rule is simple – the better the thermal parameters of the window, the better for nature. Remember that we are talking about the perspective of several dozen years of use.
Various materials and aluminum used for the production of large, narrow-frame sliding windows combine features that translate into energy efficiency. Already a few years ago, aluminum systems caught up with PVC in terms of the heat transfer coefficient. Today, aluminum windows guarantee the best results in this regard.
Remember to contact our joinery broker who will answer any questions related to the ecology of aluminum windows (quick contact).
Large glazing serves ecology
Large-size glazing of aluminum terrace windows also contributes to lower consumption of thermal energy and electricity to heat the building in winter and cool the interior in summer. Thick glazing units in frameless sliding doors achieve excellent parameters Ug = 0.5-0.6. In addition, they will make much more sunlight enter the interior.
Passive houses use aluminum
The energy efficiency of aluminum windows described above determines that passive houses most often use aluminum windows. Huge glass surfaces are installed in them, which, placed on the south wall, ensure the best use of natural light as an energy source.
Our experts at debesto.com will help you choose the best windows and doors that match passive houses (quick contact).
The most ecological systems
Since we already know that thermal parameters are an important criterion in assessing which window is the most ecological, let’s see which of the sliding windows selected by us is the most energy-efficient.
With reference to the issues described above, for the purposes of our comparison, we found that the thermal parameters mainly determine whether the window is ecological or not.
So let’s look at the table below:
Frameless sliding system | U-value for window |
1. Reynaers Hi-Finity | 0,8 |
2. Yawal Moreview | 0,85 |
3. Schuco Panorama ASS 77 | 0,85 |
4. Aluprof MB-Skyline | 0,9 |
5. Cortizo Cor-Vision Plus | 0,97 |
6. Sapa Artline | 1,09 |
The best result in our comparison of structures with the dimensions of 4000 mm x 3500 mm was achieved by Reynaers Hi-Finity, whose structures achieve Uw of 0.8 W / (m2.K). Yawal Moreview and Schuco Panorama ASS PD 77 were slightly worse with a score of 0.85.

Reviews
Yawal Moreview – review and opinion by debesto.com
2020 is the time of hot novelties in the segment of frameless sliding windows. One of them was the Yawal Moreview system, which officially debuted on April 1. In spite of associations that may arise at such a date, Yawal designers were far from joking. Moreview was solemnly announced by its developer as “the most innovative sliding door system with a hidden frame”. How much truth and how many marketing promises are there in all of these facts? Let’s check.
Parameters
Investors are increasingly looking for large and impressive glazing, which must have high parameters. And here Yawal Moreview shows a new perspective. Due to the fact that these are frameless sliding windows, the manufacturer tried to maximize the glazing area while keeping the profiles as small as possible.
Heat transfer coefficient
The heat transfer coefficient that can be achieved for the entire window is Uw at 0.7 W / m2K. The use of a 60 mm thick glazing unit helps to achieve this result.
To choose a solution in line with the investor’s guidelines, you can also contact the debesto.com joinery broker (quick contact).
Parameter list
The list of the most important parameters is as follows:
Maximum sash weight (manual) | 400 kg |
Maximum sash weight (automat) | 1200 kg |
Maximum weight of the fixed sash | 1000 kg |
Maximum construction height | 4000 mm |
Maximum sash width | 4000 mm |
Maximum thickness of the glazing unit | 60 mm |
Design depth of the sash | 72 mm |
Visible width of the center post | 27 mm |
Heat transfer coefficient | Uw from 0,7 |
Soundproofing | Rw 42dB |
Watertightness – resistance class | 9A |
Wind resistance – resistance class | C4 |
Frameless construction
Construction schemes available
Moreview sliding windows allow the use of many different sash systems. Of course, the basic A and D schemes are available. You can also order structures in the G, C or K pattern, or practically any other configuration. The system maker included as many as 15. Even 6 movable sashes can be made in one structure (in a three-rail version). All possibilities are detailed in the graphic below.

The central post in Yawal is only 27 mm on the wing joint. This is an impressive result, which is nearly 10 millimeters better than solutions from Schuco (37 mm) or Reynaers (35 mm). However, there are companies that can boast a slightly better result. The central post in Aluprof or Cortizo is 2 mm narrower. However, these differences are practically imperceptible with such large dimensions.
Maximum glazing size
On the Yawal system, it is possible to produce a single sash, 4 meters wide and 4 meters high. Importantly, the system maker confirms that the maximum sash height can be used regardless of the width of the entire structure. This means that already in the basic A scheme, the Moreview window can be up to 8 meters wide. This gives a total of up to 32 m2 of glazing area.
Do you know that?
An optional automatic drive is available for the Yawal Moreview system, working with loads up to 1,200 kg.
If your investment requires an automatic drive, talk to the debesto.com joinery broker about available solutions (quick contact).
Construction of the threshold
The depth of the threshold slot
The depth of the threshold slot is only 1.7 cm. The threshold can also be completely built up. The rollers are arranged in two lines. This allows for an even distribution of tension from the weight of the sash and reduces the risk of subsequent complaints from customers.
Sliding system
The industry standard is a sliding system based on trolleys placed in the sash in a deep “gutter” in the threshold of the frame. Yawal used an innovative solution in Moreview. The sash slides on rollers that are located in the frame of the structure (as presented in the video below)

Drainage system
Yawal Moreview has a linear drainage integrated with the jamb. Due to the inclination of one of the walls of the bottom extension, even small amounts of liquid flow into the gutter without any problems. How gravity drain works in practice is best seen on the video below.

Innovations and differentiators
Innovation is one of the main ideas that guided the designers of the Yawal Moreview system when designing it. Below we have collected the most important innovations in our opinion.
If the investor requires innovative solutions from you, you can always talk to the debesto.com joinery broker who will help you to choose the right one (quick contact).
Any number of tracks without cutting the rail
One of Yawal’s innovations is that Moreview can have any number of tracks that are joined by snaps and do not require the cutting of a wide track. The modular system allows this solution for structures that are not only two or three, but also multi-track. The only limit is the architect’s imagination and justification for the usefulness of such a large number of rails. It does not change the fact that it is doable and distinguishes the Yawal system.
Roller replacement without removing heavy wings
The rollers used in many frameless systems have often turned out to be a weak point as they have worn out over the years. However, Yawal found a solution to this problem.
If Moreview’s bearings are worn, your customer can pull out the rollers and replace them by himself without removing the heavy sashes. The new variant of the rollers also eliminated the “clattering” while moving the sash.
Join sashes at any angle
The static post in the Yawal Moreview system allows you to construct a series of fixed glazing, which can additionally be joined at any angle thanks to the use of an all-glass corner.
Direct passage to the facade
As if that was not enough, the connectors allow you to go directly from Moreview to the façade, giving you even more arrangement options.
Warm, non-threshold building
Building without a threshold is a solution that is currently very popular and expected by your customers. Companies that offer frameless systems either already offer a construction with no threshold or plan to use this solution in the near future. What distinguishes Yawal is a thermal break that eliminates a thermal bridge.

Design
Design is undoubtedly very important to Yawal Moreview designers. Below are the design elements that we think stand out:
Aesthetic masking of the sash forehead
The inner part of the sash profile has an aesthetic black masking cover that hides the normally visible fitting elements and additionally emphasizes the minimalistic design of the frameless structure.
Rollers in two colors
Yawal Moreview stands here for design as well. The rollers are available both in silver (inox) and black (made of polyamide – less scratch-resistant).
Installation without threshold thanks to the slotted frame
Yawal announced that from January 2021, the Moreview variant with a slotted frame will be available, i.e. without a visible threshold. The sash will be connected with the trolley by an I-section.

Asymmetrical joints and pocket-doors
The system also provides asymmetrical corner connections – even triple ones. It also gives the possibility to create “pocket door” (galandage) doors. After opening, they hide in the wall of the building in a specially designed “pocket”. It significantly increases the passage clearance after opening the sashes.

Summary
Yawal delivers quality at an affordable price. Moreview is a new system on the market and in our opinion it definitely deserves attention. Both high parameters and affordable price, which is one of the lowest on the market, speak in favor of the market novelty.
Cortizo Cor Vision Plus – review and opinion by debesto.com
The Cor Vision Plus system appeared on the market a few years ago as an extension of the offer of Cortizo, the system provider from Spain. It is an extension of the technical solutions used in the Cor Vision sliding system.
Contact the debesto.com joinery broker to choose a sliding system that meets the investor’s requirements (quick contact).
The Cor Vision Plus system differs from the “regular” Cor Vision in that:
- it is warmer (more energy-saving)
- a thicker glazing unit can be used
- you can create a window of much larger dimensions.
Details are described below.
Parameters
Cor Vision Plus meets all the basic requirements that an investor interested in minimalist sliding windows may have. The constructors took care of the maximum lighting of the rooms while minimizing the visible aluminum profiles and parameters expected by the market.
Heat transfer coefficient
The best thermal parameter for the entire window that the system provider managed to achieve was Uw = 0.9 W / m2K. This is due to the fact that Cor Vision Plus allows the installation of glazing units up to 54 mm wide. The design of the Cortizo Cor Vision Plus system definitely meets the requirements of the market standards. However, it is worth mentioning that there are solutions available on the market that achieve better results.

The width of the center post
The Cor Vision Plus’s center post is only 25 mm wide. It is one of the best results on the market ex aequo with the Aluprof MB-Skyline post. Right behind Cortizo is the Yawal Moreview system (27 mm). Only the Sky-Frame system has a post with a width of only 20 mm.
The fact that the post in Cortizo is more than 10 millimeters smaller than the posts in Schuco sliding windows (37 mm) or Reynears (35 mm) is impressive. However, it is worth remembering that such a small difference with such huge dimensions is in practice difficult to notice with the human eye.
Maximum glazing size
The maximum dimensions of a single leaf, confirmed by Cortizo technologists, are width – 4 meters and height – 4 meters. This means that it is possible to obtain a width of up to 8 meters in the most popular scheme A. The system designers also point out that the glazed area of the sash cannot exceed 14 m2.
Construction of the threshold
The depth of the threshold slot
Due to the use of the roller system, Cor Vision Plus can boast a minimal cavity in the threshold of the frame. The depth is only 1.7 cm. The lower part of the jamb can also be completely covered.
Sliding system
In Cor Vision Plus – instead of trolleys placed in the sash – the system builder used rollers located in the jamb. The wings that move on them have a reinforced inox steel rail, which is to make them more delicate in sliding. To see how the roller system in Cor Vision Plus works, watch the video below:

Innovations and differentiators
Drive hidden in the frame
Cor Vision Plus has an optional electric drive that is completely hidden in the window frame. This solution, apart from the obvious aesthetic values, facilitates the dimensioning and subsequent installation of windows. The engine, automation and control are integrated with the frame. All you need to do is plug in the cable and the drive is ready to go.

Easy sash disassembly
The traditional method of assembly with a peripheral frame and sashes with a cut at a right angle, allows for easy removal of the sash in the event of glass breakage or damage to the profiles.
Design
Building without a threshold with a hidden frame
Cor Vision Plus allows you to hide the door jamb threshold under the floor. Thanks to this, the transition between two rooms or the exit to the patio is completely threshold-free.

Contact the debesto.com joinery broker to talk about the details of installation without a threshold (quick contact).
All-glass corners
In the Cortizo system, it is possible to make a structure with the so-called open corner. This solution is characterized by the lack of a corner post after the sashes are pulled apart.
Sliding windows hidden in the wall (galandage)
The Cortizo Cor Vision Plus system allows you to create an increasingly popular variant, which is to hide the sash in the wall. The so-called galandage allows for maximum light of the passage, thanks to the fact that the window is hidden in a specially prepared wall recess.
Two-color aluminum windows
With Cor Vision Plus, architects can let their imagination run wild. Windows are available in any color from the RAL palette. Moreover, it is possible to design two-color finishes. There is an option of varnishing, anodizing and powder coating.

Summary
Cortizo Cor Vision Plus is a system that has been well adopted in the segment of frameless sliding windows. Its so-called “Childhood” errors are over and it can be considered a very popular solution today. According to the debesto.com ranking it is the cheapest of the leading solutions – and what is worth emphasizing – it is not very different than more expensive competition in terms of technical parameters or design possibilities.
