We recommend an automated drive for sashes weighing more than 300 kg. In the case of Cor Vision Plus, heavier sashes can be difficult to slide manually.
Compatibility with SMART HOME systems is an additional advantage of the electric drive. By choosing such a solution, you can control the door just like other devices of this type.
Window board in COR Vision – what solution should you choose?
Window boards are mounted in three ways:
- regular window board embedded in the floor
- window board embedded in the floor with a drain gutter and a base
- window board integrated with the floor (in this case a drain gutter is necessary)
Why is the proper installation of the window board so important? Among other things, because the window board is responsible for the tightness of the system. A window board embedded in the floor or integrated with the floor ensures maximum thermal efficiency.
For safety reasons, debesto recommends installing an additional ground beam (e.g., made of Purenit), which stabilizes the window board and prevents it from falling in, as well as provides additional sealing.
It is worth choosing a manufacturer who will also take care of the so-called slide. Properly prefabricated, it will make opening and closing of the structure easier. When talking with the manufacturer, ask if the elements will be cut using CNC machines. It’s only way to be sure of a perfect finish and precise matching of elements.

Drain gutter – an advantage of a sliding window or an unnecessary addition that will cost you a pretty penny?
Linear drainage is a special gutter installed at the floor level which carries the water flowing to the terrace doors and accumulating inside their elements. Of course, each window has a standard drainage in the frame, but in some cases linear drainage is also required.
The gutter is integrated with the ground beam extension or the window board. This does not affect the appearance of the structure in any way and guarantees effective water drainage. You will pay for it about 20% more than in the case of the basic price of the window.
When is it worth equipping a window with such a gutter? According to debesto, it is worth equipping the window with such a gutter when the terrace is not roofed and thus more exposed to weather conditions. Otherwise, there should be no problem and you can save around 20%.
Minimum and maximum dimensions of frameless windows from Cortizo.
Currently, the maximum standard width and height of the sash for Cortizo Cor Vision Plus is 4,000 mm. This gives much more options than in the case of its younger brother, where the maximum width of the sash is 2,500 mm and the height is 3,000 mm.
The situation is different in the case of minimum dimensions. In option A, where one sash is sliding and one sash is fixed, the smallest available dimension is 1,100 mm x 600 mm in COR Vision.
Opening options for the COR Vision system.
Sliding windows enable the use of various combinations of sliding sashes in one line. In the case of the Cortizo Cor Vision system, it is possible to install up to six sashes. The offer includes many options, including galandage and joining the sashes without a mullion at an angle of 90 degrees.
In both systems, COR Visiona can be installed with galandage. It is a solution in which the sash is hidden in the wall, which gives the effect of frameless sliding door. The end result is a frameless sliding door that hides in the wall. We recommend this solution for small spaces. Thanks to this, the room will get the maximum amount of light. This type of solution is often used in France.
There are as many as 21 sash layout options available for Cor Vision Plus. It is also possible to connect the sashes at an angle of 90 degrees without a mullion. Which Cor Vision system has the narrowest central mullion?
With such huge dimensions of glazing as offered by the Cortizo system, the central mullion has currently no competitor on the market. Although the difference between the Cor Vision and Cor Vision Plus models is 5 mm, this is a hardly noticeable value for structures of this size. Remember that the central mullion is part of the sash frame. More sashes mean more visible mullions.

How to open Cortizo Cor Vision? The system provider thoughtfully equipped the windows with several solutions that can be adjusted to the needs and the desired effects.
One of the most frequently asked questions is how to make the sash hide completely after opening? The answer is simple and there are two ways to do this:
- when the system is opened automatically
- when the handle is placed on the central mullion (see below)
The handle can be positioned on the side of the sash, on the frame or on the central mullion. This depends on the preferences of the owners.
The handle can be one-sided or two-sided, with or without a lock. If the drive is electric, it is not necessary to install a handle with a lock.
