How to install window or sliding door with glasslifter?
Don’t know how to insert a lift and slide window? You don’t have to! We invite you to watch an instructional video on installing a HST window using a glass installation machine, the so-called Glasslifter. We installed the terrace window at the single-family housing estate.
Installation of an HST window in 5 steps:
1. Unloading
The large HST structure weighs up to half a ton. At the construction site, a safe and efficient transport of the frame together with the extensions and two glass packages was made possible with the use of a forklift.
2. Glaslifter in action
Debesto.com focuses on innovative solutions. The glass handler, i.e. Glaslifter saves up to 50% in assembly time and costs, minimising the risk of glass damage. The machine came all the way from Warsaw, but its help turned out to be worth every kilometer driven.
3. Preparation of the window
All that remains is the efficient screwing of the anchors by our installers, so that the HST window frame is in the previously prepared window opening.
4. Leveling and wedging
It’s a very important stage in the installation of a large-size window, which affects the proper functioning of the lift and slide mechanism. That is why our specialists used both a laser leveller as well as traditional measuring instruments. The whole structure has also been properly wedged.
5. Sash glazing
The complicated operation was facilitated by Glasslifter, whose suction cups proved to be invaluable support for the precise installation of such large panes weighing several hundred kilograms in the window frame. Foam insulation completed the operation. And voilà! The homeowner may now enjoy his dream terrace window.
