Product Warranty Limitations and Exclusions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To maintain complete transparency, the following conditions and occurrences are expressly excluded from warranty coverage:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any warping, corner joint separation, discoloration, swelling, cracking, debonding of applied decorative trims, or peeling\/delamination of foil laminates on dark-colored window and door products (including, but not limited to, black tones such as RAL 9005, anthracite and grays such as RAL 7016, navy blue, dark brown, and dark wood-grain finishes) exposed to direct sunlight. For colors other than dark finishes exposed to direct sunlight, warranty protection is limited to a maximum of 24 months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fading, discoloration, peeling, or finish damage resulting from: installation in coastal zones or near corrosive environments (e.g., swimming pools, wastewater treatment facilities, salt water); failure to remove protective film, adhesive residue, or silicone within one month of installation; environmental soiling, or the use of improper adhesive tapes, aggressive cleaners, or incompatible chemical maintenance products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damage caused by natural disasters or Acts of God (fire, flood, wind). Defects resulting from building structural design, structural settling, vibrations, or the absence of proper perimeter expansion joints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spontaneous glass breakage or thermal stress fractures resulting from applied aftermarket films\/tints, close proximity to heat sources (radiators, high-intensity lamps), or partial shading of the glass unit combined with simultaneous direct solar exposure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cracking, splitting, or delamination of wood components resulting from a lack of regular maintenance (required 1\u20132 times per year using designated care products) or failure to promptly seal scratches and micro-cracks against moisture penetration. Claim approval in this category requires documentation of systematic maintenance (e.g., service logs accompanied by photo\/video records).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minor shade variations, micro-scratches, and pinpoint surface blemishes that are not visible to the naked eye from a distance of 10 feet (3 meters) when viewed perpendicularly in diffuse daylight. Spacer bar misalignments or shifts of up to 3\/16\u2033 (5 mm).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Normal mechanical and aesthetic wear and tear of components subject to friction, movement, or touch (including, but not limited to, finish wear on handles, escutcheons\/rosettes, cover caps, and door sills\/thresholds, as well as wear on rollers, tracks, guide rails, or lock mechanisms), along with operational malfunctions resulting from a lack of regular cleaning and lubrication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Color shade differences resulting from the use of different production batches of raw materials, paints, or powder coatings in the event of component replacement under warranty or paid replacement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Condensation, fogging, or frost accumulation on exposed glass surfaces\u2014whether on the interior room side (caused by excessive indoor relative humidity or inadequate ventilation) or on the exterior building side (a natural physical phenomenon evidencing the high thermal insulation performance of the insulated glass unit)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>II. Practical:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Checking the goods during transport:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must inspect the shipment in the presence of the driver and explicitly record any damage, shortages, or compromised packaging\/seals in the exceptions section (e.g., Exceptions \/ Remarks \/ Damage Noted) on the Proof of Delivery (POD \/ Delivery Receipt), as well as take comprehensive photographic documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any visible damage to crates, pallets, racks, or the products themselves must strictly be recorded on the POD before the driver departs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Signing the delivery receipt without exceptions (a \u201cClean POD\u201d) constitutes confirmation that the shipment was received intact in transit and represents an unconditional and irrevocable waiver of the right to file any claims or warranty requests for transit-related damage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photographic documentation must clearly and indisputably demonstrate that the goods were damaged upon arrival\u2014photos must capture the condition of the cargo while still inside the container or trailer, on pallets with the original transit packaging and strapping intact, or directly during the unloading process in the presence of the driver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photos taken after uncrating or unpacking, after the driver\u2019s departure, or after moving the goods to a jobsite or warehouse staging area will not be accepted as valid proof of freight damage.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Remember to send the complaint form <a href=\"https:\/\/debesto.com\/en-us\/worldwide-warranty-debesto\/#procedure\">in accordance with the procedure in point IV<\/a> of this guarantee<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>You have 7 days from the delivery \/ receipt of the order to report any visible physical defects and missing elements<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Checking the goods before installation:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Buyer is obliged to check the quality and the mechanics of the product prior to installation and during assembly prior to permanent fixing of the product in the construction of the building (in particular before using mounting foams, mortars, sealants, etc.), which leave permanent marks on the product structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the defects could be found before mounting the product, the Buyer loses the right to warranty claims with the beginning of the installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any interference in the goods or any changes to the goods, both permanent and temporary (such as, among others: trimming elements, painting the surface) result in the loss of warranty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the goods are ordered to replace other dismantled windows and doors, the Buyer is obliged to check the operation of the purchased products before disassembling the earlier structures. In the event of a malfunction, it may be necessary to return the defective products. Disassembly of previously installed products does not entitle the Buyer to any claims against debesto. Remember, if you do not check the delivered goods in advance for condition and compliance of dimensions, you disassemble at your own risk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In relation to Buyers other than consumers, the warranty for defects in goods (PL: r\u0119kojmia) is excluded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Self assembly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installing the products on your own is acceptable, but the windows and doors must be installed in accordance with the guidelines of debesto e.g.: How to install a sliding door? \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WXzE_9gAMaw\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WXzE_9gAMaw<\/a> In cases not specified by debesto, the general rules of construction practice apply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any defects or malfunctions of the goods caused by lack of maintenance, improper installation, improper maintenance or improper use as well as any mechanical defects and failures are not covered by the warranty, and the Buyer is responsible for their removal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>III.<\/strong> Assembly requirements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installing the products on your own is acceptable, <strong>but the windows and doors must be installed in accordance with the general rules of construction practice.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Here are examples of installation requirements, which will eventually decide about correctness or incorrectness of the installation:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Water resistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Construction- matter solutions of the building envelopes and their weatherstripping should prevent the infiltration of rainwater into the building.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thermal permeability and dew point<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There mustn\u2019t be any condensation of the steam on the inside surface of the non-transparent building envelope as this may enable the development of the mould. In order to keep this solution, the building envelope and their structural joint should be marked by temperature coefficient fRsi of an amount not less in value than critical value.&nbsp;<strong>Presuming the required value of this factor equal to 0,72 is also allowed.<\/strong>fRsi is the difference between inside surface and the temperature of the outside air, divided by the difference between the temperature of inside and outside air.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Air permeability<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the building, the connection of windows with the jamb should be designed and done in respect of the achievement of their full airtightness.&nbsp;<strong>The correct assembly of the window and balcony door in each case should guarantee at least fulfilling of the technical and construction requirements.&nbsp;<\/strong>If it is known in advance that the requirements will not be fulfilled, then performed service should not be called as the \u201cassembly of windows\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mechanical connection of the window with the jamb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking into account the values \u200b\u200bof loads affecting the installed windows and the inevitability and repeatability of phenomena causing wind loads, <strong>four rules<\/strong> can be defined to be followed when performing the \u201cmechanical\u201d part of window and balcony door installation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Window constructions must be <strong>mechanically attached to the frame.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Due to the values \u200b\u200bof the forces acting on the window structure, which are a derivative of wind velocity pressure, in the case of windows and balcony doors installed in facade openings, it is generally necessary to provide four-sided mechanical fastening of each element using appropriate assembly means, observing the application recommendations issued by the manufacturer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the case of boxes for top-mounted shutters, the upper rim of the frame, which cannot be mechanically fixed, should be statically calculated <strong>as a free-bearing element and properly fixed on the sides.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>According to the current state of technical knowledge, <strong>it is not allowed<\/strong> to fix windows in the reveals only with polyurethane foam, glue and similar building materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cdn.debesto.com\/web\/assets\/2021\/03\/06091407\/2021-03-26-min.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Frame straightness and alignment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following installation, all vertical and horizontal frame members must strictly maintain true straightness and remain plumb and level in every plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Any bowing, bulging, or deflection of the frame members \u2013 whether vertical or horizontal \u2013 is unequivocally and strictly classified as an INSTALLATION DEFECT, and not a defect in materials or workmanship of the profile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proper use of the support blocks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transferring wind loads from the window to the building wall is possible only if we ensure during assembly that the <strong>mechanical fastening points<\/strong> will not be affected by additional loads resulting from the weight of the structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Support blocks<\/strong> (Picture 1) are the element responsible for transferring loads from forces acting in the plane of the window to the wall of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The support blocks do not have to be permanently attached to the window or building structure. They are an element loaded \u201con pressure\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Warning!<\/strong> All of the patio windows\/doors demand the arrangement of load-bearing elements under the threshold every min. 11.81 in, <strong>provided that<\/strong> they shall not project above the threshold. In cases not specified by <strong>debesto.com<\/strong>, the general rules of construction practice apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Irregularities in the action of windows and doors related to incorrectness of its setting, maintenance or exploitation <strong>are not a subject of a warranty<\/strong> and should be handled by the buyer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IV. Application procedure:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. All complaints have to be submitted in electronic form only through <strong>properly and completely<\/strong> filled out form located at <a href=\"https:\/\/complaint.debesto.com\/\">https:\/\/complaint.debesto.com\/<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. When sending a complaint, the Buyer is obliged to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a) Indicate the number of the proforma to which the application relates<br>b) Indicate the position numbers of all items on the specification that are the subject of the complaint, along with the number of goods (e.g. pos. 005 \u2013 2 pieces)<br>c) Accurately describe the defects or missing elements,<br>d) Provide photographic or video documentation of the goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Minimum technical requirements for attached multimedia materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Photos and videos should be taken in daylight, or if this is not possible, use artificial light to record a detailed and not blurred picture<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The minimum required resolution of the photos is 8 megapixels<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The minimum required video resolution is 1920 \u00d7 1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. If the submitted documentation does not allow for an unequivocal assessment of the legitimacy of the complaint, we will request you to complete the documentation, thus extending the time to process the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Complaints are handled electronically, with the possibility of phone communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Time for examining the complaint: 14 days from the date of submitting the <strong>complete<\/strong> application documentation, unless the examination of the complaint requires special measures or information \u2013 in this case, within 14 days from the date of submitting the complete application, debesto will indicate a different technically and technologically possible deadline for considering the complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. Debesto has no mobile service technicians and all matters are resolved with remote cooperation of both parties. Debesto points out that the goods offered are specialist goods and their assembly should be performed by people with appropriate knowledge, qualifications and experience in this field. The Buyer performs the installation on his own, at his own cost and risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. If the complaint is accepted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The repair or replacement of the defective goods will take place within the prescribed time limit, possible for technological, logistic and production reasons<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The cost of possible transport of the goods is covered by debesto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the removal of defects in goods, it is possible to release only parts, components or structures of the goods. Any work related to the removal of defects is carried out at the expense and sole risk of the Buyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>V. Legal Disclaimers &amp; Limitation of Liability<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1.
